Fine Artist and founder of Truman Hill Studios began her journey at Peabody-Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelors of Art Education degree in 1977.
Post graduation, she put her degree on hold and entered the field of advertising, co-owning an agency on the famed Music Row in Nashville. After moving to Roanoke, Virginia in 1990, she continued her advertising career as media director at The Packett Group, the preeminent advertising agency in the area.
Then, after a brief stint as an account executive at the local NBC television affiliate, she founded her own firm, C Media Company, where she continues as media buyer for a select clientele. However, the passion for art had never faded, thus she began painting after a 40 year hiatus.
Her preferred mediums are oil and gouache, and she easily morphs between representational realism and abstract, depending upon her mood and chosen subject, however she strives to consistently experiment with new visual approaches and mediums.
